Caring for woodenware

Woodenware has been used in our homes for thousands of years. With the appropriate care, these items will afford you a lifetime of service.

These items can be washed using warm soapy water. Avoid leaving them to soak for long periods. At home, I find the best method is to wash them soon after use and leave them to dry upside down.

The bowls are sealed with cold pressed linseed oil. End-grain cups and quaichs are sealed with a walnut oil/beeswax mix. Any residue will disappear after the first couple of washes.
